Maintenance worker found dead in janitor’s closet at Louisiana schools board office

A beloved maintenance worker was found dead Friday in a janitor’s closet at the Caddo Parish Schools board office, officials said.

The woman, in his 40s, apparently died of natural causes after working an overnight shift.

School board staff described her as a well-respected maintenance worker.

“We are deeply saddened to share that a beloved member of our staff passed away overnight while at work, likely due to natural causes,” a spokesperson said.

“Our hearts are heavy as we process this loss, and we extend our deepest condolences to their family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
