A prominent Boston attorney was found stabbed to death on a houseboat last weekend and a woman arrested at the scene was on Thursday charged with murder.
Joseph Donohue, 65, was declared “non-viable” by officers responding to a welfare check requested by his concerned son on Sunday.
The victim was stabbed multiple times along with his dog, police said. A 24-year-old woman, later identified as Nora Nelson, was arrested at the scene.
A family statement revealed that Donohue was a father of three and an attorney who “dedicated his life and career to helping others.”
“Our family is heartbroken by this unimaginable loss. Joe was a wonderful family member, a cherished friend, and a trusted colleague. He is loved and will be deeply missed.”
