Over $100K raised for legal bills of Arkansas father who fatally shot teen daughter’s rapist

The family of an Arkansas father who fatally shot his teen daughter’s rapist is thanking the community for the overwhelming support after they raised more than $100,000 for his legal fees.

Aaron Spencer fatally shot Michael Fosler, 67, on October 8 when he found his missing 14-year-old daughter in Fosler’s car.

The family had a no-contact order in place for Fosler who was accused of stalking and raping the girl last summer.

  • Spencer is now facing a preliminary first-degree murder charge but receiving an outpouring of support on social media.

    His wife, Heather Spencer, said that in less than a week, more than $100,000 has been raised for his legal fees.

    “We have been able to secure legal counsel and are hopeful that we will be able to fight this charge,” she said.

    Spencer added that no are no GoFundMe pages are currently associated with her family and that the only GiveSendGo account they had has been closed because it raised well over the goal.
