Washington DC news, Washington news.

In a combative Fox News interview with anchor Bret Baier late Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed her rival was “unfit to serve” and insisted her presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s.

Harris appeared on the conservative network for a 30-minute exchange that saw her and her host repeatedly speaking over each other.

The vice president described Donald Trump as “unstable” and “dangerous”, suggesting he is “unfit to serve” for a second term.

“You and I both know that he has talked about turning the American military on the American people. He has talked about going after people who are engaged in peaceful protest,” Harris said.

Baier grilled Harris on multiple topics including immigration. At one point, Harris even told Baier “You have to let me finish” as they sparred over the topic.

The Fox News host also addressed Harris’ hypothetical term in office and whether she would continue on Biden's same path.

“You’re not Joe Biden, you’re not Donald Trump, but, nothing comes to mind that you would do differently?” Baier asked.

“My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency, and like every new president that comes into office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas,” the VP answered.
