Ohio mother admits to suffocating 2-year-old son

An Ohio mother is behind bars after she allegedly smothered her 2-year-old son to death on Tuesday.

Lemou Cire, 39, reportedly admitted to killing her toddler son at a residence on Holstein Drive in Obetz at around 11:30 a.m.

  • Cire allegedly told detectives that she placed one hand over the child’s mouth and the other hand over his nose until he stopped breathing.

    The boy’s identity has not been released. Cire was charged with aggravated murder and is being held on a $1 million bond.

    During Cire’s arraignment at Franklin County Municipal Court, the child’s father revealed that the woman’s mental health had recently deteriorated.
