Gilbert news, Arizona news.

The family of a slain Arizona man said the suspect accused of brutally slaughtering him was his “best and only” friend.

Alijah Bradley, 24, was found decapitated in the desert near Gila Bend on August 18.

Authorities said his last known whereabouts were at Sam Bush’s home. The 23-year-old was arrested the day after the macabre discovery.

Police used a tracking app on the recent graduate of Northern Arizona University and his vehicle’s coordinate to locate his body.

“I was told his cause of death was getting shot in the back and that they found him without his head,” a family member said.

“And something so cruel and so graphic, like it’s almost crazy to think that somebody is capable of doing that.”

A motive remains unclear but the relative insisted the victim and suspect were childhood friends.

“We honestly don’t know. He was Sam’s best friend. He was Sam’s only friend.”
