A father and son were among three people killed in a wrong-way crash in Kansas, authorities said Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said that the driver of a Dodge Durango, later identified as Amanda Fleming, was traveling the wrong way on K-96 when she crashed head-on into a truck.
The impact sent the truck spinning before it hit another vehicle and burst into flames.
Authorities identified the truck’s occupants as Randall Henrickson and his 11-year-old son Eli.
They died at the scene while three occupants of the third car sustained injuries.
“Randall was a loving father of four who always put his kids before himself,” the family stated.
“Eli was always so loving and absolutely adored by everyone who knew him.”
