Authorities in St. Petersburg, Florida are investigating a suspicious death after a lifeless body was found near a dumpster early Saturday.
St. Petersburg police officers responded to the scene in the 3800 block of 15th Avenue shortly after 8 a.m.

A passerby discovered the deceased woman near a dumpster and immediately notified the SPPD.
Investigators said the woman’s body bore signs of trauma but the cause and manner of death are pending the medical examiner’s office’s findings.
The death was deemed suspicious and the investigation is ongoing. The victim’s identity has yet to be determined.
