New poll shows Kamala Harris gaining 5-point lead over Trump after debate

A bombshell new poll conducted after the ABC News presidential debate showed Vice President Kamala Harris gaining a five-point lead over former President Donald Trump.

The Yahoo News/YouGov survey of 1,755 U.S. adults was conducted from September 11-13.

  • 50 percent of the participants said they would vote for Harris while 45 percent stated they would vote for Trump.

    And while she had been trailing Trump by 9 points among independent voters – 35 to 44 percent – before the debate, the new poll showed a major shift in favor of Harris that now leads Trump 47 to 37 percent among independent voters.

    The former President had rejected the VP’s requests for a second debate claiming that polls “clearly show” he won the debate against “the democrats’ radical left candidate.”
