The parents of two Oklahoma boys were arrested after police discovered the “disgusting” conditions in which they were living while responding to a wellness check.
Dakota Rain Dodd, 24, and Aubrianna Jewelyn Willon Freeman, 22, were charged with five counts of child neglect after an officer made the harrowing discovery of their living conditions.
An officer recounted finding the couple’s two sons, aged 3 and 4, locked naked inside a room at the Oklahoma City apartment.
“The boys were both extremely dirty, covered in feces on their faces, hands, bodies, legs, and feet,” the officer reported.
“I entered the room and was hit with a stench of urine and feces that was so strong I struggled to not vomit. There was feces all over the walls, floors, built-in sink area, and windows.”
Dodd allegedly claimed he “had intended” to give his sons showers and clean up the room “with paint.”
“Feces on the walls, feces on the kids. It was a completely disgusting scene,” Police Sgt. Gary Knight said.
“When they went inside, the officers described almost becoming overcome by the smell of feces and urine inside the residence.”
The boys and a baby girl were removed from the home. Their parents were arrested on Sept. 12 with their bonds set at $250,000
