Authorities in Florida have arrested two adults after a child was spotted running naked across traffic lanes, covered in feces Sunday morning.
Jacob Roberson, 32, and Danielle Roberson, 34, were charged with five counts of child neglect.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a “young child running nude in the area of Green Acres Road and Green Acres Boulevard around 9 a.m. Sunday.”
“Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Deputies spotted the boy running across four lanes of traffic and nearly getting hit by vehicles, but were able to get him to safety,” police said.
“The child was found to be covered in his own feces. They cleaned him and wrapped him in a towel.”
Deputies were able to locate the child’s home near Fort Walton Beach, five miles away from where he was found.
There, they “spotted another nude child running around nearby.”
The second child also “had feces on his body.” Deputies also noted “deplorable conditions” throughout the residence and the presence of “prescription medications within reach of a total of five children, all under the age of 12.”
