Minneapolis woman plows car into crowd during altercation killing 16-year-old girl

A Minneapolis woman was charged with murder and several counts of assault after she allegedly plowed her car into a group of people during a verbal altercation early Saturday.

22-year-old Latalia Anjolie Margalli was arrested shortly after she allegedly drove her SUV into a crowd of people without braking killing 16-year-old De’Miaya Broome and hurting several others.

Margalli and her friends had been involved in a verbal altercation with De’Miaya and her pals when she decided to ram her SUV into them.

  • “This was a devastating crime,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said.

    “Ms. Margalli’s life-altering decision to drive her car into a group of people has left De’Miaya’s family with an enormous void.”

    De’Miaya died at a local hospital. Several other people suffered broken legs and head injuries.
