An elderly Arizona man is facing charges after he allegedly plowed his truck into a packed bar hurting 30 people on September 7.
Thomas Edward Kain, 73, was charged with DUI, 12 counts of aggravated assault, and 17 counts of endangerment.
Video footage of the incident showed Kain trying to leave the Elks Lodge bar before knocking through its wall and sending patrons flying.
Ten victims needed hospitalization for non-life-threatening wounding including deep cuts and fractures.
One person was listed in critical condition while fifteen others were treated at the scene.
Five patrons drove themselves to area hospitals for treatment.
“Let this be a reminder: driving under the influence is not worth the risk. Your choices can save lives,” Apache Junction Police said in a statement.
