Girl, 8, left with serious head injuries after mother ran over her while playing game

An Indiana mother is behind bars after playing a dangerous game with her daughter causing the child serious, life-threatening wounds.

Jasmine White, 27, is accused of inadvertently running over her 8-year-old daughter while making her children race after her moving car as if she was leaving them behind.

The victim and several other children hanged to the moving car’s doors as White accelerated. At one point, the 8-year-old girl went down and got run over, police said.

    Since the girl has been intubated and sedated suffering skull and orbital fractures, abrasions, and a large facial laceration exposing her skull.

    Investigators determined that White was driving approximately 15 to 20 mph when the girl fell under the rear tire of her mother’s car.

    White faces several charges including neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury and placing the dependent in a dangerous situation.
