An Illegal Dominican migrant with a fake New York ID was arrested in connection to a gruesome quadruple homicide that shocked investigators.
The bodies of Fraime Ubaldo, 30; Marangely Moreno-Santiago; and their children Evangeline and Sebastian, aged 4 and 2, were discovered in the basement of their Irondequoit home on August 31.
Irondequoit Police said that several fires were ignited inside the residence to cover up the murders.
“This was a horrific scene. In almost 32 years of doing this job, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Chief Scott Peters said.
On September 7, police arrested Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano in connection to the massacre.
The 34-year-old suspect had entered the US illegally through Puerto Rico and managed to obtain a fraudulent New York state ID.
He was also wanted for another murder case in his home country where authorities listed him as a fugitive.
Peters declined to reveal whether the crime was random or targeted.
“When you murder innocent children, there is no excuse for it,” he added.
