A 13-year-old South Carolina girl died a “horrific” death at the hands of two other girls, police said Saturday.

Ka’Niyah Baker was reportedly bludgeoned, stabbed, and burned before her body was found in a vacant home that was set ablaze on Jan. 15.

“The manner of death was not an accident, and this was not a suicide. This is a horrible homicide,” Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford said.

“Ka’Niyah was bludgeoned, stabbed and burned.”

Columbia Police Chief “Skip” Holbrook called the teen’s murder “heinous” and “vicious” announcing the arrests of two teen girls, aged 15 and 16, on murder charges.

“This is gut-wrenching. When you talk to people that have been involved in committing heinous crime like this, you’re looking to seek answers and read their reactions. But sometimes its when there is no reactions is what’s most troubling,” Holbrook said.

“This shocks the conscious to me.”
