Florida woman was slain before house fire; Police searching for boyfriend

A Florida woman was murdered before her home was set on fire early Friday, her daughter said.

Paula Ribeiro, 54, was found dead in the back bedroom of her burning property at around 5 a.m.

Her daughter Kimberly Silva said the victim’s body was not fully burned suggesting she died from the blaze.

Silva added that neighbors recalled hearing screaming before the fire.

    Ribeiro had problems with her new boyfriend and temporarily moved out of the home due to these issues.

    “He’s been threatening her,” Silva added.

    Police are looking for the boyfriend who is accused of killing Ribeiro and setting the home afire.
