A Washington boy was arrested this week after he allegedly stole his grandfather’s car and drove more than 160 miles across the state.
The 12-year-old allegedly took his grandfather’s car in Issaquah and drove to Grant County through the Cascade Mountains.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office Motor Traffic Unit located the stolen vehicle parked at a curb at around 10:20 a.m.
The boy led the deputies on a short pursuit before he was stopped through a PIT maneuver that did not harm the child.
Police took the preteen into custody. He was booked to the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and felony eluding.
