A Houston man has been charged in connection to the double murders of his sister and her toddler daughter, police said.
Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, 29, was charged with capital murder in connection to the slayings of his 28-year-old sister and 2-year-old niece.
A relative called 911 to report that Fisher was holding the two victims hostages at the Knox at Westchase apartment complex in west Houston shortly before 3 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Fisher asleep on a couch with blood on his clothes and injuries consistent with a struggle.
The two victims’ bodies were also found inside the apartment. They both suffered multiple stab wounds.
“He had already beat the hell out of me,” the suspect’s mother said.
A close neighbor of the victims’ said, however, that there were no tensions between the siblings prior to the massacre.
“We could see no red flags. This was just completely out of the blue,” the neighbor added.
“I don’t understand hurting your own sister, hurting a woman, hurting another person, period. But what possessed you to hurt this baby?”
