Louisiana substitute teacher terminated, charged for paying students to assault classmate

A Louisiana substitute teacher is in hot water after a video of her congratulating students while they tackled their classmate reached the police.

Aadrina Smith, 24, was terminated, arrested, and charged with contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and malfeasance for allegedly paying five students $5 each to assault another.

  • Three of the juvenile accepted Smith’s offer and assaulted the victim who layed on the ground. The incident reportedly took place at the gym of North Caddo Elementary Middle School.

    “The Caddo Parish School Board expects employees to conduct themselves professionally and in the interest of students at all times,” a spokesperson for the school said.

    “Throughout the investigation, the district and school have fully cooperated with law enforcement.”
