A deadly Saturday morning collision has left six people dead and nine others hurt in Idaho, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 5:29 a.m. local time on US 20 at milepost 308 in Idaho Falls, Idaho State Police said.

A Ram pickup traveling eastbound on the highway veered off lane near the Lindsay Boulevard exit and crashed into a westbound Chevrolet passenger van.
The van’s driver and five passengers died at the scene. Nine other passengers and the driver of the pickup sustained injuries.
The collision caused the shutdown of the highway, the longest road in the US, for five hours at Interstate 15 as authorities worked to clear the wreckage.
