An Ohio boy is dead after he fell off a trailer at a Memorial Day parade, authorities said.
The 13-year-old victim fell off a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck and was then run over by the trailer’s tires.
First responders rushed to the badly injured boy’s side and took him to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Green City’s Communications Manager Valerie Wolford identified the boy as a student of North Canton City Schools.
The incident ended the parade immediately, and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation.
“Our hearts go out to the family at this time of terrible loss,” said Green Mayor Rocco Yeargin.
“We look to support them as a Green community in any way that we can.”
