A Massachusetts girl is dead after she fell from a window after an argument with friends during a sleepover.
Arya Lebeau, 12, plunged to her death from an apartment in Southbridge early Saturday after an argument over a slice of pizza.
“I dropped her off for her sleepover, and I just feel like I’m waiting for her to come home,” said the girl’s mother.
“I just want justice for my daughter. I want to make sure that this is investigated properly and that we have everything we need to make sure she gets justice.”
The mother was told a parent would be with the girls, but later learned no adults were home when the incident unfolded.
“I was told it was a kick and she fell out the window,” she added.
The girl’s grandmother said the children fought over a slice of pizza, and Arya was kicked out of the window as part of a game of “scare” that ended in a tragedy.
“She was so hopeful for the future, and this summer she was really looking forward to many activities with her friends,” Arya’s mother said.
