At least twelve people were injured late Friday when a tree fell on them as they attended a college graduation ceremony.
Two of the injured were taken to a hospital after the tree fell on attendees at Diablo Valley College.
“The safety of our students and visitors to our campus is our top priority,” the school said in a statement.

The incident remains under active investigation.
