Owner charged with manslaughter after 5 dogs maul Arizona man to death

A pet owner was charged with manslaughter in connection to the March 30 fatal mauling of an Arizona man, authorities said.

Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a seriously injured man lying in the street on West Camino Tierra in Tucson at around 6 a.m.

Kevin Renguul, 43, was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries three days later.

    The dogs’ owner, 60-year-old Martin Martinez, was initially charged with felony endangerment and felony assault by a vicious animal.

    His charges were upgraded to manslaughter following Renguul’s death.

    The dogs reportedly had a history of aggressiveness and had previously attacked a neighbor.
