Three people were killed and five others wounded in a major crash that occurred early Saturday in south Fort Worth, authorities said.
Police responded to 700 W. Risinger Road at around 4 a.m. after receiving reports of a crushed vehicle and an explosion.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple vehicles involved in a crash and several victims.
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were rushed to area hospitals, including one in critical condition.
Two victims received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash is being investigated. The Traffic Investigations Unit has been notified of the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will identify the victims.
