Young cowboy, 24, thrown from ferocious bull; trampled to death at Texas rodeo event

A 24-year-old cowboy is dead after he was thrown from a violent bull that trampled him to death at a Texas rodeo.

The tragic incident unfolded at the Xtreme Bulls event where Dylan Grant had been competing, officials said.

The victim was reportedly thrown off the bull and then crushed to death after landing on the ground.

    “Our rodeo family lost a talented young cowboy last night,” the Wharton County Youth Fair said.

    “There are no words of sympathy at a time of such profound shock and sadness.”

    Dylan obtained his PRCA permit in 2018 and his PRCA card in February 2024. He competed with the University of Wyoming Rodeo Team and won the Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo.
