A 4-year-old Memphis boy died Thursday as a result of an accidental shooting, police said.
The shooting occurred on Brompton Road near Cromwell Avenue in Oakhaven just after 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The boy was rushed to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.
Police did not immediately specify whether the boy shot himself or was shot by another person.
The incident marks the second accidental shooting in Memphis in less than a week. The victim has not been immediately identified.
