Texas infant mauled to death by parents’ dogs: ‘It wasn’t pretty’

A Texas girl is dead after a mauling incident involving her parents’ two dogs, police said Tuesday afternoon.

Baytown Police officers responded to a home on E. James Avenue near Highway 99 at around 3:50 p.m.

Police said Wednesday that the 6-month-old victim succumbed to her injuries after being attacked by at least one of the two dogs.

“It wasn’t pretty. There was blood all over the baby’s head. Prayers out to the baby,” a neighbor said.

    Animal Services took two dogs from the scene. A neighbor said that one of the dogs was “aggressive.”

    “He needs to be put down,” the neighbor said.

    Other neighbors said the family had just brought the dogs on Sunday.

    “Sunday. Sunday. There’s no telling what kind of environment they were in before.”
