Authorities in Lake Station, Indiana are investigating after the lifeless bodies of five people were discovered inside a home Friday afternoon.
Officers were conducting a welfare check at the home in the 6700 block of 9th Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. and obtained a search warrant for the home.

Once inside the residence, officers discovered the five bodies. It was not immediately how the victims’ died or if they were family members.
“The Lake Station Police Department is asking for the public’s patience while more information is gathered and the appropriate individuals are notified before any additional information is released,” police said.
