Authorities in New Mexico have on Tuesday arrested a couple accused of locking up their teen daughter in a chicken coop for several months.

Patricia Madrid, 36, and Jammy Jackson, 59, were charged after an investigation into the alleged abuse that started last September.

Child Protective Services received information about the 15-year-old girl who had been kept in the coop outside her family home from April to September 2024.

The victim was only allowed to use the bathroom twice a day and was only fed ramen noodles while other children at the home were properly taken care of.
