Couple found dead in Mississippi home had filed for divorce

A couple was found dead inside a Senatobia home Thursday morning and authorities are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.

Senatobia Police officers responding to a domestic disturbance at the Cowtown Road home made the discovery of two lifeless bodies inside at around 6 a.m.

Both victims were pronounced dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators said the injuries of one of the victims were self-inflicted.

  • While the decedents’ identities remained undisclosed pending the ongoing investigation, documents revealed the residents of the home were a married couple with a daughter.

    In July 2021, the woman separated from her husband and lived elsewhere. Later that summer, she filed for divorce for irreconcilable differences.

    But in March 2022, the woman was granted a request to dismiss the divorce filing.

    The incident remains under ongoing investigation.
