Authorities in Shelby County, Tennessee are investigating after a 2-year-old was found unresponsive and later died at a Cordova home late Friday.
Deputies responded to a distress call in the 7400 block of Unbridle Way at around 7:20 p.m.

They immediately initiated life-saving measures on the unresponsive child as they awaited the Shelby County Fire Department to take over the efforts.
The toddler was transported to Baptist Pediatric Hospital where they died less than an hour later.
The sheriff’s office declined to release further details about the death citing an ongoing and active investigation.
