A New York City man was killed early Thursday morning when he was unintentionally run over while sleeping underneath a box truck in the Bronx.
The 61-year-old was reportedly sleeping under the Hino 338 truck on Coster Street near Randall Avenue in Hunts Point when the incident occurred at around 7:15 a.m.

Police said the unsuspecting driver of the truck pulled out of the parking spot, running over the victim, who suffered extensive injuries to his head and chest.
The unidentified man succumbed to his wounds at Lincoln Hospital. The truck’s driver remained at the scene and collaborated with the investigation.
