A missing Washington woman was found dead, encased in concrete, days after she was last seen alive, dining with her handyman.
Marcia Norman, 82, was last seen on April 1 having dinner with 47-year-old Jeffery Zizz. Her family reported her missing days later.
Zizz reportedly left Tenino for Olympia, where neighbors noticed that he had built a shed on the day after Norman was reported missing.
Police excavated the area under the shed on April 9 and found human remains “partially encased in concrete.”
The remains were positively identified as Norman. Zizz was arrested in Montana on unrelated charges and extradited to Washington.
“He’s not the average handyman to this family. He’s a good family friend, so it doesn’t necessarily seem like having dinner together would be uncommon,” the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said.
