A Michigan mother was charged with assault with intent to murder after she allegedly threw her daughter down a flight of stairs and choked her earlier this month.
Officers arrested Jennifer Vargas in the driveway of her home on Nov. 8. She reportedly was with the victim who had visible injuries including bite marks and cuts.
Troopers said that the adult daughter lost consciousness multiple times during the hour-long assault.
The victim said Vargas threw her down the stairs, followed her to a bedroom where she tried to escape, and pinned her to the bed.
Vargas allegedly choked her daughter while telling her that “she was going to be sacrificed.”
The victim was treated by emergency personnel at the scene and then brought on Munson Medical Center for further evaluation.
