Pine County news, Minnesota news.

A Minnesota man allegedly killed his own father after shooting him “execution-style” at his hunting cabin in front of two horrified witnesses.

Kirk Edward Hazlett III, 31, burst into Kirk Edward Hazlett II’s remote cabin where he, his brother and a friend were having dinner at around 8:45 p.m. Friday.

The witnesses told police that surveillance cameras alerted them to the younger Hazlett’s arrival. The suspect’s uncle left to retrieve his gun when he heard three gunshots.

He returned to find his brother wounded but still alive on the ground. The suspect forced his uncle and the friend to sit on a couch and watch as he shot his father in the head, and killed him.
