Missouri woman found slain in alley hours after abduction: ‘They shot her 5 times in head’

A Missouri woman who was abducted in Clayton early Wednesday was found dead hours later in a St. Louis alley, police said.

Michelle Hampton was reportedly forced into a truck at around 7 a.m., according to family members, who said they followed the kidnapper until he started firing shots at them.

The relatives stopped the chase and called 911. About four hours later, they received the grim news that Hampton was found dead in St. Louis.

    “We were told by officers inside that they drove her around a couple different ATMs and made her withdraw money before they shot her five times in the head in the alley,” he said.

    Clayton Police believe “the victim in this incident was specifically targeted, and there are no indications of any further threat to the Clayton community.”
