Authorities in Nashville, Tennessee have identified the victim of an apparently random stabbing at a bus stop.
Jamesha L. Jackson, 38, was seated next to her alleged killer on the bus shelter bench near the intersection of Harding Place and Antioch Pike at around 5:15 a.m. when the WeGo bus pulled up.
The driver was left horrified as he witnessed Roy Lomax Gardner, 42, attacking Jackson and stabbing her as she headed to the bus.
Gardner tried to flee, but citizens tackled and held him as the bus driver called 911.
Jackson succumbed to her injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where her alleged killer was also admitted for minor injuries sustained during the citizen’s intervention.
