Woman succumbs to injuries after being thrown from golf cart

A woman has succumbed two days after she was thrown from a golf cart at a private Annapolis club last weekend.

Anne Arundel County officers responded to the incident in the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill in Annapolis at around 7:24 p.m. Saturday.

  • The victim was identified as 32-year-old Mary Blasetti. She sustained “life-threatening injuries in an incident involving an E-Z-GO golf cart” driven by a 32-year-old woman from Crownsville, Maryland.

    “Mrs. Blasetti was airlifted to the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and passed away on November 11, 2024,” the sheriff’s office said.

    “The Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the collision.”
