Authorities in Mississippi have arrested a suspect in connection to the murders of a couple found shot to death in a burning Georgia home last week.
The suspect is expected to be extradited to Georgia to face charges over the deaths of Brittany Hall, 28, and Derris Woods, 35.
The couple were found shot inside their burning Panthersville home on September 9.
Firefighters were met with intense flames from the fully engulfed home at around 1:30 a.m.
The structure ended up collapsing forcing crews to prevent the destruction and flames from spreading to neighboring residences.
The bodies of Hall and Woods were found inside. The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday that both had been shot before the blaze started.
