A Houston mother is dead after she was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend during their son’s birthday party.
Jalen Easterling, 25, and her new boyfriend were throwing a birthday party for her 6-year-old child when her ex-boyfriend, Jalin J. Foreman, showed up uninvited.
Witnesses said an argument ensued with Easterling telling Foreman “I’m not scared of you” and “Come at me.”

The 27-year-old suspect then reiterated for a few moments before showing up again, with a firearm.
“We’re going to end this now,” he reportedly screamed out before firing five shots at Easterling, killing her at the scene.
Foreman was taken into custody on murder charges. Nobody else at the party was injured, police said.
