Alabama high school student, 16, died after suffering brain injury during football game

An Alabama high school football player died Saturday after suffering a fatal brain injury during a game, authorities in Selma said.

Caden Tellier, 16, was playing for Morgan Academy private school against Southern Academy Friday night when he sustained the injury.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Caden Tellier has gone to be with his Lord and Savior,” school headmaster Dr. Bryan Oliver said.

    The school has suspended all activities for a week following the tragedy.
