New York authorities announced that the body of a missing actor last seen leaving a mental hospital on May 21 has been found Wednesday along the shore of Hudson River.
The remains were positively identified as Andrew Neiman, 48, who is the best friend of “Real Housewives” host Andy Cohen. The star had pled for help to locate Neiman.
“Andy is younger than me, but we went to the same camp – Nebagamon in Wisconsin – and the same high school. I’m praying for his safe return, along with a lot of folks in St. Louis,” Cohen told the public.
Neiman leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter. His sister said on Facebook that she kept hope in his safe return until the end, hoping he “was on a journey, perhaps even a healing one, and would return when he was ready.”
But the grieving sister’s hopes “were not entirely wrong. He returned to the source, the brackish waters, the meeting of fresh water and tidal ocean.”
