Prestonsburg news, Kentucky news.

The family of a Kentucky mom was left wondering where she might be after she was last seen jumping into a local creek two weeks ago.

36-year-old Kandi Gonzalez was caught on a cellphone video walking to a resident’s backyard along Abbott Creek Road on June 1, less than half a mile from her home.

Authorities said that Gonzalez then ran into a creek and vanished. Throughout the footage, she seemed disoriented.

“She seemed confused about maybe where she was at or how she got there,” the sheriff said.

Gonzalez’s distraught mom is seeking the public’s help in finding her missing daughter who left behind a 5-year-old son.

“We need some type of clue other than where she was last seen,” she said. “It’s totally unlike her. She loves her son.”

“Someone has to have seen her somewhere. According to these people down here, nobody has seen her, just nobody.”

The woman’s relatives are offering a reward of $10,000 to anyone with information. The search for Gonzalez is now involving multiple agencies and volunteers but to no avail.
