New York Police said that the man found dead inside a closed Harlem hair salon on Saturday morning may have been a burglar.
The unidentified man was discovered laying on the floor at the basement of Harlem Natural Hair on Nicholas Avenue and W. 147th Street at around 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

Officers pronounced him dead at the scene and reported that the store was in a “state of disarray” when its owners arrived.
“The injuries are consistent with a fall,” a New York Police Department spokesman said which suggests the victim was trying to break into the business when he fell to his death.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine a cause of death and identify the victim.
