Washington news, US news.

In a statement released on Thursday, Senator Tim Kaine announced that both he and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus antibodies.

They said that they were tested positive for the coronavirus antibodies this month. These antibodies would make them less likely to get the virus or contaminate others. However, the Senator emphasized that there is still uncertainty regarding if these antibodies provide protection against the virus or not.

Virginia's Senator said he and his wife will keep abiding by the CDC's guidelines, like hand-washing, mask-wearing, and social distancing. They also encouraged others to adopt the same behavior, as it shows that you care about yourself and the ones you love.

Earlier this week, according to new guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and health experts, antibody tests used to check if people have already been infected in the past with COVID-19 might give wrong results to 50% of the time.
