His father, 61-year-old Willie Terry, took the gun and secured it before calling the police.
The gun was ultimately found in the front foyer of the home. Terry was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and gun possession.
The man admitted to police that he knew his late sister “had firearms in the past when she was alive,” but never saw the pistol before Sunday’s incident.
