A 20-year-old Arizona man is dead, and his father is behind bars after a tragic electrocution incident at a construction site on Thursday.
Dominic Herbert died from electrocution while working near Thornydale and Lambert in Pima County at around 8 a.m.
The young man’s coworkers had knocked down a power pole that fell into a ditch where he and another coworker were standing.
Both men were electrocuted. Herbert tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Following Herbert’s death, his father was arrested for allegedly threatening his employers and coworkers while grieving his son’s loss.
“My son is grieving, and yes, made the mistake of making threats to the families of the people my grandson worked for,” Herbert’s grandfather said.
“My son is a very good man, and I just think that he grieved in a different way, which we all know is not appropriate.”
“We have to say it is OK to grieve, and we definitely tried to get him the help he needed last night. It’s just he roamed off.”
