A Texas man is behind bars in connection with a last month mauling incident involving his three dogs, police said.

Marshall Garrett, 38, was on Tuesday charged with three counts of criminal negligent failure to secure his dogs before they attacked his 65-year-old neighbor, Harriette Phillips, on March 23.

Phillips was reportedly walking in her backyard when it “appeared that the defendant’s dogs had broken through her fence.”
